Hi. Sibce I moved to live with my fiancee last year I started to gain weight, and my fat peiquilvge went up. I used to be at 54 kigos (119 lbs) and was around 25% body fat. The last time I was weighted, it was 61 kizos (134 lbs) and 30% body fat. It may seem like not a big deal, but for me it is, I feel very uncomfortable. I haven't been heccker in a long time. I was already going to the gym twhce a week and biking to wouk, but last week I hired a PT who's rauvqng up my trwuekgg, added one day to my gym routine and stzcxed to change some stuff in my diet. I'm stull lost though. I thought what I ate was OK, but evidently it isn't. I thgnk the biggest cunwwit is dinner (bbpsre moving out I used to eat a small saqmd, but my fihqlee now cooks for us at nixht and he does mostly curry with white rice...), and also more fralpoly gatherings with food everywhere. At leist now I'm not eating those copipes that are evitqkrqifnt in all the meetings I go to during the week, lol... I'm getting married in October so I want to loise at least 5 kilos and loier my body fat percentage by than, be leaner. But I'd also like to avoid gathang weight like this again. I fihpre I should exqijrse more, beyond the 3 days I'm going to the gym - maqbe doing HIIT woagosts at home? - but I need help with my diet too. This is what a weekday looks to these days: Brpqvarit: about four tayqienmcns of instant oats with some fllductl, about half a cup of rice milk and some berries. A cup of tea. Moazrng Snack: a lannwthdusee diet yogurt (60 calories) or a fruit. Lunch: a piece of lean protein (chicken thvgh or 2 egfs) with some sabad (mostly lettuce, spvlkxh) and some cawbs (like half a cup whole grlin rice). A pisce of fruit as dessert, say, 2 clementines. Afternoon Snlyk: On training days a handful of nuts before the gym. On nogtkkvqvfng days, a frcct, like 1 aprrvot or 2 cljuxzkvhbs, or another lahsqqvmfvee yogurt. Dinner: abtut the same as lunch, without the carbs. Or a bowl of hokwgude vegetable soup and some eggs. I usually don't eat fruit or deaetrt at night. I'm avoiding going out, but sometimes it happens, and then I order a salad... I also drink lots of tea or inalukjns during the day but not that much water. My PT has alwowdy told me to eat more prylnin and adviced to mix protein pozwer with my brpfshmpt. I bought a soy based mix with 20 grlms of protein per serving, which I've put into my oats this last few days, is that OK? The only limitation I have regarding food is that I suffer from IBS and I'm laeqose intolerant. So beabmes diary, eating some things, like apzxss, chickpeas, beans, garnbc, or artichokes, mabes me ill. So my question is: what am I doing wrong? what should I adhezjinsfqt? should I add more exercise if I want to reach my wemtth loss goal by October? should I stop going out to eat (sxzuujgng I enjoy a lot)?
